current layout
This is the all encompassing, much awaited, 6.0 series, The Prayer. I swear, with this set of layouts plus all the
new content and changes around the site, the update for this just about killed me. I don't know
how many hours of sleep that I've lost, but finally it is here. Anyway. About the layout. Upon first sight
I'm sure that everyone was disgusted with me for creating yet another Takiko themed layout. However, every page on here
and every layout has a specific meaning and each major character is featured at least once upon the different pages; so I'll
let myself get away with it for now. Also included this time is the series
fanlisting, which is usually a seperate and distinct site, but I have decided to add on to the main domain.
I was listening to Celine Dion and Andrea
Bocelli's The Prayer and just started making this against my will. Version 6.0, The Prayer,
speaks entirely of the fact that Takiko is desperately searching for a place where she is of
importance and the country of Hokkan, where she ends up, which lies on the brink of destruction. For each page I tried to have
the layout reflect the overall tone of the content and also the fact that Genbu Kaiden is a very dramatic, sad series filled
with characters who are desperately searching for hope. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the way that the layouts and revamp
has turned out, which took me over a week of days filled with working and little sleep to do.
In the end, the layouts may be up, but this is only the beginning; for the content is nowhere near finished. I plan on expanding
the information much, much more. But with this, hopefully I'll have the layouts in such a way that I can continue to expand this
site without having to do a major facelift later; or so, that was the entire point of this anyway.

Version 5.0
May 27, 2006 to October 24, 2006
Version 5.0, Fantasy. It was about five months since my last
layout change and I was getting really sick of looking at the other layout (not that I hated
it or anything). Plus, I was annoyed with how similar my layouts were starting to look.
So I put some music on repeat (namely Iwao Junko and Ayaka Hirahara) and refused to allow
myself to eat or leave my room until I finally made a new layout. So here is the result. Something completely different than I ever did before. Shocking,
isn't it? And now only is it different, I made sure that this layout works in
both firefox and
Explorer this time - go me! And yes, it's Takiko again.
One day I will make a layout with the seishi in it! You don't know
how close this was to being a Uruki layout.
Version 4.0
January 31, 2005 to May 27, 2006
Version 4.0, Morphing Thru Time; a layout dedicated to the time travel in Genbu Kaiden as well as to Okuda Takiko - the best character Watase has ever created, the Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho and the entire universe of the book. I was listening to Enigma while trying to decide what kind of layout I wanted to make, and the song Morphing Thru Time started playing. I felt that the song was perfect for a layout and was also inspired to make a layout, because the song almost perfectly describe the Genbu Kaiden series and everything that I wanted to describe.
Version 4.0 of GenbuSeishi.com was very similar to my
linkage page on my personal
domain, Hyouden.net. I really have no idea
why, I was playing with some scans while making the layout, and started doing whatever
popped into my head; and it turned out almost the same. I liked it though.

Version 3.0
November 19, 2005 to January 31, 2006
Version 3.0, Hyouden. Hyouden means field of eternal snow and I also thought that it was a good name for a layout featuring my one true couple, Rimudo and Takiko. The name describes their relationship, which will end in disaster as we all know, and the genbu seishi.
With version 3.0, I've given up on the dark theme for a while, which was kind of sad because right before I changed the layout I figured out how to make the tables on the old layout work. Oh well. So this layout should work find in both firefox and internet explorer. This is also the fourth layout made to go with my blue toned layout spree.
To be honest with you, even though I absolutely adore the image I used, I'm not too crazy out the layout itself. I think it may be because this layout tends to follow the same pattern as all my other ones, and I really had wanted to make something a bit different. Of course, the navigation has changed as well.
Version 2.0
September 9, 2005 to November 19, 2005
Version 2.0 - Fuyubare! Fuyubare used to be one of my online nicknames before I dropped it a while back. The name means clear winter day in Japanese and thought that it would be a good name for a layout with the Genbu seishi.
Of course, you can see that version 2.0 also features Takiko and Rimudo, since I love them so
much and everything. And surprisingly, it's a little bit darker themed than I usually make
(since I'm not good at making dark themed layouts). But, I like it. I wanted to get a certain
feel across and I think I managed to show it.
This layout uses tables. Yes, the dreaded table. But with what I wanted to do with the
site, which is change it from a site collective to one big resource, tables seemed to suit my
purposes the best. As always, if you want to view the layout as it should be,
please use firefox and
a 1024x786 SR. It looks ok in IE, but the tables are over on the right; I can't figure
out how to fix it.

Version 1.0
August 25, 2005 to September 9, 2005
After; That's right, this layout sucked so bad that it wasn't even special enough to get a name. Poor little layout, I
almost feel sorry for it. Actually, the only good thing about this layout, methinks, is that it's my first frames layout in a
long while, in fact, it's my first ever since I changed from IE to Mozilla.
Before; Version 1.0 is utterly terrible. It's a horrid horrid mess and was made when I was in a big rush
to get this site up. However, it's good point is that it features my favorite FY couple of all time; Rimudo (Uruki) and Takiko.
Yay! Also, that this is the first frames layout that I've been able to create since converting to
firefox, which is the best browser to view this
layout in. How I missed my frames...
